Alejos Lorenzo

About Alejos Lorenzo

At first, Alejos Lorenzo drew with pencil, charcoal and pastel, beginning in oil at 18. Years later, he took a turn in his pictorial style and changed the oil for the acrylic on canvas. In this new style you can appreciate the influence of painters like Van Gogh, Hockney and Matisse. You could say it's a pop art style where color exerts its full potential. Music also exerts a great influence on his work, and many paintings have song titles.

Even though Alejos Lorenzo completed a career in Technical Architecture and subsequently did a postgraduate degree in Interior Design, his vocation has always been painting. Before turning professionally to painting, he worked in several architecture studios but left it all for painting. In his works the artist transmits the joy that nature produces through the play of forms and with color.

On a national level, he works with several galleries in Galicia, as well as in Madrid, Barcelona, Ibiza, etc., but every time he exhibits more works abroad. Outside of Spain, he has exhibited in the United States, China, Italy and Portugal, in renowned galleries such as the Jadite Galleries in New York and the MAD Gallery in Milan.
