Antoni Dura presents contemporary still lifes that strategically combine elements of daily urban environments: cups, plates, cans and tubes of paint, brushes, and chairs, all masterfully represented in a quasi-hyperrealist way. Dura “suspends” the items in a neutral and timeless space, very often equipped with a strong chromaticism analogous to that used in American Pop Art.

Harmonizing a precision in his drawings and forms, Dura contrasts light against the elements to imbue them with three-dimensionality, and further heightens the effect with the colorist expressiveness in their backgrounds.
